Analytics is not enabled for the English edition at launch. No Google Analytics script is loaded. The following explains how optional analytics will work if it is enabled.

What we measure

After consent, Google Analytics 4 may receive information about pages viewed, reading duration and depth, link clicks, referral sources, browser and device type, and approximate region. We do not send Google names, email addresses or other data intended to identify readers directly.

Why we measure it

This information helps us understand which interviews and themes matter to readers, and improve the structure and reading experience of our stories. We do not use this site for personalised advertising.

Consent and storage

Analytics relies on your consent. Before you consent, Google Analytics does not load or receive data from this site. Your choice is stored locally in your browser. Analytics data retention is determined by the Google Analytics 4 property settings.

Who receives the data

Our analytics provider is Google LLC. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google’s policy.
